How does your DNA affect your story?

Dear Friends of LUMA!

My team and I are so excited to announce our 22nd annual benefit concert for Seattle Children’s Hospital. It is called ORIGIN. I hope you will join us for a fun, fancy night out to the symphony hall for a night of exploring how your DNA affects your story.

I’ve been studying with the thoughtful & smart people of 23andMe and I’ve learned some fascinating stories to share with you. The human genome sequence shows us the internal genetic scaffold around which every person is molded. We are learning where we come from, how we interact with all other life on our planet, and how we are strikingly more similar than different. My special guest this year is the emotionally evocative Sleeping At Last.

I dare you to listen to this song and not feel your heart fill and break at the same time.

We are going to have an inspiring, fun, heartfelt, and beautiful night together. The NW Symphony Orchestra’s 80 humans will strike, pluck, blow into, reach deep into their instruments to evoke emotion and tell these stories through music. I hope you can make it!
