You are receiving this announcement because we want you to be the first to know that the Symphony Guild has a new name! LUMA. The name LUMA combines the words luna which is Latin for moon, and illuminate. Luna expresses a feeling of calmness, protection, and guidance. Illuminate represents knowledge, hope, promise and the idea that light conquers all darkness. LUMA: Lighting the Path to Children`s Health.

LUMA is comprised of talented young professionals from the greater Seattle area who are dedicated to enriching the quality of children`s lives in the Northwest by raising awareness and funds through benefit concerts composed by Mateo Messina. Each performance fuses music and compassion to provide an enchanting musical experience like none other.
A chance at life.
50% of dollars raised through LUMA support Seattle Children`s uncompensated care fund, ensuring that all children in the region, regardless of the families` ability to pay, receive the urgent care they need, at one of the top pediatric hospitals in the region.
Part of the cure.
50% of funds raised will directly fund groundbreaking research at the Ben Towne Center for Childhood Cancer Research. Thanks to the work of Dr. Michael Jensen, children in clinical trials are experiencing full recovery from leukemia.
